Read on 10 October 2026 from each maker's website. Prices and plans change, and several depend on country, number of doctors or number of sites: confirm with the maker before you decide.
Why the prices differ so much
Clinic suite or shop counter
The dearest products are practice-management suites with eye exam records, appointment diaries and insurance or voucher claims. A shop that only dispenses and sells does not use most of that.
What the price is counted on
RevolutionEHR prices by the number of doctors, Optix by site, OptoSoft by store per year with unlimited users, Asaan Optics by account.
Modules
Optisoft lists a base system and adds stock, dispensing, cash and other modules at a monthly price each, so the total depends on what you switch on.
Contracts and setup fees
Eyefinity's listed prices are for a one-year contract and exclude onboarding fees. RevolutionEHR lists a one-time setup fee.
Users and branches
Enerpize's plans cost more with extra users and branches. Ask every vendor what a second counter or a second shop adds.
Country
Daftra shows different prices by country, and OptoSoft has one price for India and another elsewhere. Google Play also shows Asaan Optics' Android price in local currency.
What to add to the monthly price
- 1
Setup, onboarding and training
Ask whether they are in the monthly price or billed once at the start.
- 2
Every counter, user and branch
Price the shop you run today and the one you expect next year.
- 3
The modules you need
Stock, till and messages are sometimes separate lines.
- 4
Hardware
A receipt printer and a barcode scanner are bought separately with any of these products.
- 5
The way out
Ask how you export customers, prescriptions and stock if you leave.

Questions
How much does optical shop software cost?
Among the 11 products on this page, the published prices on 10 October 2026 ran from $4 a month (the Asaan Optics Android app) and ₹6,000 a store per year (OptoSoft in India) to several hundred dollars a month for US practice-management suites such as RevolutionEHR and Eyefinity Encompass. 3 of the 11 do not publish a price.
Is there free optical shop software?
Some products have a free tier or a free trial. The Asaan Optics Android app keeps working without a plan with 30 new entries every 30 days, and the Windows program is free for its first 30 days. OptoSoft's site offers a free prescription-management version. Enerpize and Daftra list a free 14-day trial. Free versus paid, in detail.
Which optical software makers publish their prices?
On 10 October 2026 these makers listed prices on their own sites: Optisoft, Optix, Enerpize, Daftra, OptoSoft, RevolutionEHR, Eyefinity and Asaan Optics. Ocuco, Crystal Practice Management and Sightview (My Vision Express) did not list a plan price and ask you to contact them.
Why is practice-management software dearer than shop software?
It does more clinical and administrative work: eye examination records, appointment diaries, recalls and insurance or voucher claims, usually priced per doctor or per site. If your shop dispenses from prescriptions written elsewhere, compare products on the counter, stock and prescription-order features you will use.
