How to install on Windows
Installation takes a few minutes. You need the shop account you signed up with, or you can create one on the sign-in screen.
Download
Download AsaanOptics_Setup.zip and extract it: right-click, Extract All.
Run the setup
Double-click AsaanOptics_Setup.exe. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, choose More info, then Run anyway.
Install
Keep the folder C:\Asaan Optics or choose another, tick the desktop shortcut and press Install.
Sign in
Open Asaan Optics Desktop and sign in to your shop account. The first 30 days are free.
Set up the shop
In My Shop Profiles, add the logo, currency and tax, and link WhatsApp.
Add stock and staff
Import or add frames and lenses, print barcode labels, and add staff logins.

What is new in version 6.6.0
Version 6.6.0 was released on 29 September 2026.
- Staff POS: shifts with an opening float, cash drawer, X and Z reports, and a staff audit.
- Stock Control Center: stock value, potential profit, product performance and a stock financial report.
- Several pairs on one prescription order, with redesigned Add and Edit Customer screens.
- New dashboard, sidebar and Search Customers screens, and 19 optical calculators built in.
- The Sales screen opens on today's sales, and exports follow your filter.
- More reliable offline sync.

Get the Android app
The Android app is for the chair and the counter: prescriptions, repairs, quick sales, Scan Prescription and receipt QR lookup. Install it from Google Play and sign in with the same shop account.
Without a plan the app lets you add 30 entries (prescriptions, repairs and sales) every 30 days. The 1-month plan starts with one month free through Google Play.

Is Asaan Optics free to download?
Yes. The Windows installer is a free download, and the desktop software is free for the first 30 days from sign-up; no payment details are asked for. After that it needs a plan. The Android app is free to install, and without a plan it lets you add 30 entries every 30 days.
What are the system requirements for Asaan Optics Desktop Pro?
Asaan Optics Desktop runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64). The internet is needed to sign in and to sync; counter sales and shifts carry on during an outage. Receipts print through Windows, so any printer installed in Windows works, including 57/58 mm and 80 mm thermal printers and A4 or A5 printers. A USB barcode scanner is optional: it types into the search field like a keyboard.
Why does Windows show “Windows protected your PC”?
Windows shows this notice for installers it has not seen often. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Download the installer only from asaanoptics.com.
Can I run Asaan Optics on a Mac, a tablet or a Chromebook?
The desktop program is a Windows application for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). On a Mac or a Chromebook, use a Windows PC or a small Windows mini-PC at the counter. On an Android phone or tablet, the Asaan Optics Android app works with the same shop records.
How many computers can I install the desktop software on?
Install it on each counter PC and sign in to the same shop account. Each PC registers with the account and reads the same customers, orders and stock, so a replacement PC only needs the program and your sign-in. Tell us how many counters you run before you choose a plan.
